Jennifer M. Anderson is the Director of Music at Central Presbyterian Church in Downtown St. Paul, where she oversees a thriving music program. In addition to her work at Central, she is the founding Artistic Director of VocalPoint, a 75-voice project-based choir that has raised over $150,000 for non-profit organizations in its first six seasons, and who will be singing with Sounds of Blackness this February. She studied piano, organ, and conducting with Dr. J. Michele Edwards, Ms. Jeanné Reher, Dr. Winston Kaehler and Mr. Donald Betts. At Macalester College, she was the recipient of the Hollis L. Johnson award for conducting, and has accepted on behalf of VocalPoint a Special Recognition Award from The Advocates for Human Rights.
She just completed a 3-year term as an elected board member of the Twin Cities American Guild of Organists (and still serves on the Program Committee), and looks forward to co-leading a choir session at Synod School in Storm Lake, Iowa, this summer.
